Kanye West once again brought up his explosive claim that wife Kim Kardashian wanted to abort their daughter North in a new interview, claiming they eventually went ahead with the pregnancy because of Kim.

Speaking on comedian Nick Cannon's podcast, 'Cannon's Class,' Kanye claimed that his passionate speech in July where he had made the revelation had convinced many who were considering abortions to go ahead and have children. "Because of South Carolina, there are people that have decided to have a child, they have connected," the rapper said. "They never saw anyone in my position take that position [against abortion], and say "look at this, this is a seven-year-old right here, and she might have never made it here."

Kanye went on to praise his wife for changing his mind. "It was my wife who said 'this is a soul,' and the scariest thing is she had the pills — you take the pills and the next morning the baby is gone — she had them in her hand," he said.

The Chicago native had announced that he would be running for the Oval Office in the November presidential elections on Independence Day and followed it up with a remarkable rally in South Carolina on July 19 where, amongst other things, he criticized abolitionist Harriet Tubman, said parents would receive a financial boost and everyone with a baby should automatically receive a million dollars and called for "marijuana to be free."

Most notably, he had also revealed that Kim wanted to abort their first daughter, North West. In a tearful rant about abortion and his pro-life stance, the 43-year-old yelled, "I almost killed my daughter! I ALMOST KILLED MY DAUGHTER!" before sharing that a timely message from God had changed his mind. Kanye also said Kim convinced him to keep the child in a phone call where she told him, "We're going to have this baby." He went on to declare, "so even if my wife were to divorce me after this speech, she brought North into the world, even when I didn't want to. She stood up, and she protected that child."

In his speech, the 'Stronger' hitmaker had also revealed that his mother Donda was the only reason he was alive since he was supposed to be aborted as well. "My dad wanted to abort me," he had claimed. "My mom saved my life. There would have been no Kanye West because my dad was too busy." The claims reportedly sparked a marriage crisis between Kim and Kanye, with sources claiming their marriage would come to an end as quickly as December because he was not willing to compromise and push back his run for the Oval Office to 2024.

While some have claimed that he was running to hamper the campaign of Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and was in cahoots with President Donald Trump, the 43-year-old has insisted otherwise. He addressed rumors that the Republicans were funding his "walk" for the presidential bid on 'Cannon's Class.'  "People keep on saying, 'I think that y'all — you and Republicans — are in cahoots,'" he told Cannon. "Bro, can't nobody pay me. I've got more money than Trump."

When he was pressed by Cannon, who asked, "But people are saying that you're a distraction, and because they don't want four more years of Trump, maybe you might. You want an alternative of four years of Ye. Is that realistic right now in 2020?" West replied, ''I'm not running for president — I'm walking."
