LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Fans of Prime Video's 'The Baxters' were overjoyed when the second and third seasons of the series were unexpectedly released on the streaming platform.

The series, based on Karen Kingsbury's novels, follows an ordinary family's struggle to support one another while facing life's challenges.

The first season of the series centers mostly on Kari Baxter (Ali Cobrin) as she navigates her life after learning that her husband Tim Jacobs (Brandon Hirsch) is cheating on her, but things take a dramatic turn when the latter tragically dies.

'The Baxters' Season 2 focuses on Kari's development as an individual, as seen in the fifth episode, when she makes a brave attempt to reconcile with her former flame, Ryan Taylor (Jake Allyn).

In 'The Baxters' Season 2 Episode 5, a memory box evokes reminiscence, prompting her to make a brave decision for her own pleasure.

So memory boxes are similar to a pandora of nostalgia, eliciting feelings of reminiscence and reminding you that you were once optimistic about your future.

The same thing happened to Kari when she discovered her adolescent memory box, which made her quite nostalgic. She discovers her bucket list in the box, which makes her optimistic.

Later, she asks her brother Luker Baxter (Josh Plasse) whether her parents can look after her daughter Jessie for the night because she has plans, which surprises Luke, who questions her spontaneity.

After receiving a positive response, she exits the room with excitement.

Kari is shown in a hotel room, dolled up after ages, waiting for someone on the hotel balcony. Later, Ryan is shown entering the empty restaurant and is left surprised to see Kari there.

Kari says she knew he missed home, so she brought out a piece of his house and his bucket list. In the following scene, both are seen analyzing the list, and Ryan observes that Kari appears to be much like her former self.

Kari recommends that they pretend to be different individuals and act like they're on their first date. Ryan grins and jokes that he can kiss her on their first date, making Kari blush, as the two continue on their date.

Well, to know what happens between Kari and Ryan, you'll have to tune in to watch the remaining episodes of 'The Baxters' Season 2.

'The Baxters' Season 2 is now streaming on Prime Video.
